“Already upto date.” The three words every developer dreads.
One night, I was feeling productive, made a bunch of changes at home, and shut my laptop with that satisfying “done for the day” feeling.
Next morning at the office, I confidently typed:
git pull
…and my terminal mocked me: “Already up to date.”
That’s when I realized I had forgotten to push my code. A classic mix of frustration and self-roasting moment.
But it also taught me something deeper — our work doesn’t end when the code runs, it ends when the code is shared.
1. Push often, even if it’s just a draft.
